- All numbers represent the percentage of students tested who achieved a minimum passing score, which, according to the TEA, is "equivalent to correctly answering 70% of the items based on the October 1990 exit-level test." Note that this is not the same as getting 70% of the questions correct.
- The percentage of students tested who achieved the minimum standard on all tests.
- Results for special education, limited English proficient and some other students are not included.
- In 1993, the first year of springtime TAAS testing, only fourth graders were tested among elementary students.
